Day 2: Tiananmen Square , Forbidden City , boat cruise to the Summer Palace (L+D)

We start with a visit to the impressive Tiananmen Square, considered the heart and soul of the nation and which can fit over a million people. We then head out to the impressive Forbidden City aka the Imperial Palace, home to 24 emperors since it was built almost 600 years ago and having over 10,000 rooms. This is followed by a visit to the Summer Palace, the largest and most complete imperial garden existing in China. We will round up the day with a Peking Duck meal at Beijing's infamous "Li Qun" restaurant which is cozily located in the in the traditional hutong alleys near Tiananmen Square.

Day 3, Mutianyu, mountain bar, free activity ( suggestion, xiushui market), Night show (L+D)

This hike covers one of the famous Great Wall which is Mutianyu Great Wall It is slightly less crowded than BaDaLing Great Wall and is located in a heavily forested area. It is especially photogenic in rainy, misty weather. The scenic beauty in spring and autumn is breathtaking. The whole area is like a garden on the mountain top. You will then follow your hike route to the un-restored area of the Great Wall called Lianhuachi. This area will give you a clear idea of the difference between the restored and the un-restored areas of the Great Wall. End your route on the mountain from an off beaten route.
After this hike, we will have a wonderful lunch at the famous restaurant called Mountain Bar. Mountain bar serves a lot of famous food like local-made tofu, excellent red trout and so on, that you will never have a chance to try in downtown Beijing. While having lunch, you will enjoy the nice view around the Mountain bar. This place is very tranquil and relaxing. You will surely enjoy the beautiful outskirt scenery. Back to Beijing where you will be free to do what you please during the afternoon, perhaps looking for some bargains at the silk market. In the evening you will be able to enjoy a late night show of your choice; Kungfu, acrobatics or Peking Opera (for an additional 120 RMB).

Day 4, Morning Temple of Heaven, Tai Chi,  rickshaw hutong tour, ends at the snack restaurant, later visit Lama Temple, wonder around at the Nan Luo Gu Xiang hutong, transfer to CCTV tower by sidecar, have dinner (L+D)

The first stop is the Temple of Heaven, once forbidden for "commoners" and foreigners to visit. Built almost 600 years ago for emperors to worship heaven and pray for good harvest, it is full of uniquely interesting structures, such as the Echo Wall. Time for some exercise next with a lesson of Tai Chi Chuan, which is to be followed by a rickshaw hutong tour ending at one of Beijing's most renowned snack restaurants, Jiu Men Xiao Chi. This restaurant, located in a courtyard of great dimensions, serves an array of dishes which run back hundreds of years in time. Next, a trip to the Lama Temple. The biggest lamasery in Beijing, it was built over 400 years ago and then turned into a temple devoted to the cult of the living Lama, particularly interesting for its combination of mainstream Han and ethnic Tibetan Buddhist architecture.

This is then followed by a trip to Nan Luo Gu Xiang Hutong. This area is considered the bohemian section of Beijing, with many cafes, tea houses and relaxing restaurants located amidst hutongs. Indeed, an interesting combination of East and a laid back West.

We then hop back in time onto a Second World War sidecar replica, all the way to China's national TV tower (CCTV tower). The 242-meter high coving Cloud Hall is a place used fot luxury celebrations. Standing on the platform at 238 meters, you can enjoy the whole view of Beijing. We can then have dinner at the rotating restaurant which stands at no less than 221 meters.
