Chengde Travel - 2 Days Mountain Resort

Itinerary
Day 1:
Get on the train and head out to ChengDe City, enjoy beautiful landscapes outside window while on your way to ChengDe City, upon arrival, tour guide will meet you at the train station and have lunch. After lunch, we will drive our way to the north of the downtown Cheng De to visit the Puning Temple and Putuo Zongcheng Temple around the Mountain Resort. In Puning temple there is a 22.23-meter-high Bodhisattva, which has 1,000 arms sand 1,000 eyes, which is the highest and largest wood statue in the world. Putuo Zongcheng Temple was modeled on the Potala Palace in Lhasa and is famous as Lesser Potala, big old trees and amazing architectures impress you deeply. Finish visiting temples, have local dinner and go around a little bit in downtown street or go back to hotel enjoy the quiet night far away hustle and bustle of downtown.

Day 2: Start slow in the next morning, have breakfast, then visit the famous Chengde Mountain Resort, which list as world heritage by the UNESCO. Compared to the Forbidden City, the Chengde mountain resort has a simple and elegant layout. It was built by the natural mountains and rivers and copying the landscape from southern Jiangsu Province and outside of the Shanhaiguan, is the biggest one in its style and also a masterpiece of north and south architectural style, you are supposed not to miss it. Then you can go around chengde on your own, and then you will be sent to railway station embarking on train back to Beijing.
