Itinerary:
Day 1: Tiananmen Square + Forbidden City + Summer Palace + Farm Stay
We head out early for a guided tour of the massive Tiananmen Square, and then to the Forbidden City, an amazing complex of nearly 10,000 rooms that was home to 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. We will then take a relaxing cruise along the ancient emperors' water way to the Summer Palace and get off at Empress Ci Xi's dock. We'll spend our afternoon in the Summer Palace. In order not to overwhelm you with the sheer size and breadth of the Palace, we will take a highlights tour by visiting the Painting Walkway, the life-sized, extravagant marble boat and more. We will then head out to Beijing's outskirts later in the afternoon to a small, quiet village at the foothills of the Great Wall, where you stay overnight at a local farm village. Well have a traditional dinner with the locals, set up a campfire, drink some Chinese beer, and experience a once-in-a-lifetime experience of sleeping soundly below the Great Wall.

Day 2: Hiking from the Secret Great Wall to Mutianyu Great wall
Many people come to Beijing to visit the Great Wall. Millions visit the Badaling section of the Wall, thousands hike the un-restored Simatai Great Wall. We take you to a section where only a few people have step foot on in modern history.
For the early risers, this is an opportunity to see the sun rise while you sit on the centuries the Old Great Wall. For a few moments it is will seem like you are being taken back in time. After breakfast with the villagers we will start our walk at the un-restored Secret Great Wall. This section is relatively unvisited and you can enjoy some peace and serenity. We will finish our walk at the restored section Mutianyu, covering a distance of approximately 8km in 4 hours. We will stop for a well-deserved, country meal for lunch and drive back to Beijing in the afternoon.
