Itinerary: Tiananmen Square - Forbidden City - Summer Palace

So, you have just one day in Beijing and want to get the most of the city in a day? Here is a great itinerary that will give you a chance to visit the city's most amazing structures in just one day. We head out early and start at Tian anmen Square and then continue with a guided tour of the Forbidden City, an amazing complex of nearly 10,000 rooms that was home to 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. We will take leisurely cruise along the ancient emperors' water way to the Summer Palace and get off Empress Ci Xi s dock. We will spend our afternoon in the massive Summer Palace. In order to not overwhelm you with the sheer size and breadth of the Palace, we will ll take a highlights tour by visiting the Painting Walkway, the life-sized, extravagant marble boat, and more. We will then head back to city center just in time for dinner.

Note: This itinerary is designed for those of you who prefer to travel with your family, friends, or partners, and not in a group with other people. Family Friendly - this trip is also suitable for children.
