Cycle from Ming tomb to little west lake

Date: Sunday, Aug 6th, 2006

Pick up: Meet at 8 am at the west gate of worker stadium

Back time: 17:30 pm

Cycling time: 3 hours

Cycling distance: 30km, light-traffic paved road, easy level, options available for advanced cyclist, van supported all the way.

Route: Complete the group, gets on the bus with bikes, then head to really beautiful countryside in the north of Beijing. Start cycling from Ming tombs, pass several un-restored tombs, sneak into one and take a quick look, before you get caught by the villagers, cycle on a small and secret path, where there is little traffic, with the Great wall along the way, later on cycle to a beautiful spot called little west lake, comparing the west lake in Hangzhou, this one is smaller, but still worth a visit, and more than that, there is a wonder here, part of the great wall went down to the lake, called Great wall beneath the water, after a superb country meal, we will check out the beautiful lake and the amazing Great Wall , enjoy the pretty view, take some pictures, then bus back to town....

Price: 250 RMB per person (including round trip transportation, good mountain bicycle, helmet, country meal, the attraction fee)
