Day 1: Cycle to the Great Wall, County Meal for Dinner, Hike on the un-restored Great Wall
One of our assistants will meet your party on the first day to explain the tour, provide reliable maps, and answer any questions. Then off you go for a lovely, independent holiday! We drive you to the northern countryside of Beijing, and will leave you with a bicycle, helmet, and large-scale map with detailed, easy-to-follow directions. With this type of tour we furnish assistance and support, but only when it¡¯s necessary. We provide handy cheat sheets that provide you information from road cycling tips to useful words in Chinese, and most importantly, an emergency number if you get into real trouble. The bike route takes you through many villages and spectacular scenery to the un-restored section of the Yellow Flower Great Wall. After lunch, you will hike on the Great Wall for a few hours, then take a path down to a little village, and walk back to a country guesthouse that we have reserved for you.
Day 2: Cycle to the Ming tombs optional, visit the tombs, get picked up, back to Beijing
You cycle along a very scenic route to the Ming Tombs the next day (entrance fee not included) and will get a chance visit the Changling tomb, the oldest and largest of the Ming Tombs that dates back to 1413. We''''ll pick you up after lunch and bus you back to Beijing.
